Did you know you can change the keys assigned to different formatting functions in the format table? For instance, how annoying is it that the parenthetical format doesn't have a key assigned to it?
To open the Format Symbols Options table and make changes, press Alt +f,o,i,o (File/Open/List/Table/Format Symbols Options).
Then just double click on a format symbol and give it a letter assignment.
Personally, I changed the paragraph symbol to be a capital P. So much easier to just hit the letter P (if you use a command keyboard like me) or F4, P (if you use a standard keyboard) than to hit F4, F4, and scroll to what you want!
